RENOVATIONS OF POLKERRIS STARTED FEB 3RD 2012

The committee got together for their first working weekend, to strip out the interior of the hall, and clear up the outside wall in preparation. Every time we have been down to Polkerris and progressed the project, photos are regularly added to enable everyone to see what is going on.

WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!!

WE HAVE MET OUR BASIC RENOVATION TARGET OF Ł60,000 WITHIN THE TIME LIMITS SET...

WE ARE NOW IN THE PROCESS OF RAISING AN ADDITIONAL Ł90,000 FOR THE FITTING OUT OF THE HALL AND RUNNING COSTS OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS, INCLUDING THE EMPLOYMENT OF A PART TIME ADMINISTRATOR

Our main Scout Hall is at St. Andrews Hall, Tywardreath, which has strong connections to the author Daphne Du Maurier (Tywardreath being the base for her book "House on the Strand").

We also have a Scout Hut in the Old Pilchard factory on the beach at Polkerris which provides a fun base for our summer activities, such as canoeing, bbq's and wide games.

We are part of the Mid Cornwall District.
